TaeKwon-Do is a version of unarmed combat designed for self-defense, and more. It is the scientific and ultimate use of the body gained through intensive physical and mental training.

Meaning: is named after the Hwa-Rang youth group which originated in the Silla Dynasty about 1350 years ago.  This group eventually became the actual driving force for the unification of the three Kingdoms of Korea.  The 29 movements refer to the 29th Infantry Division where TaeKwon-Do developed into maturity

29 Movements

Ready Posture:Closed Ready Stance C Pattern Won Hyo

 

1. Move the left foot to B to form a sitting stance toward D while executing a middle pushing block to D with the left palm. (Cirro Annun Sogi Cirro Kaunde Miro Makgi)

2. Execute a middle punch to D with the right fist while maintaining the same stance. (Wirro Kaunde Jirugi)

3. Execute a middle punch to D with the left fist while maintaining the same stance. (Cirro Kaunde Jirugi)

4. Move the right foot 1/2 way back to the left one and then slide it out toward A forming a left L-stance to A while executing a twin outer forearm block to A. (Cirro Niunja Sogi Sang Bakat Plmok Makgi)

5. Maintain the same stance and execute an upward punch with the left fist placing the reaction hand on the left shoulder. (Cirro Ollyo Jirugi)

6. Move the right foot 1/2 way back to the left one and then slide it out toward A into a left fixed stance while executing a right middle punch to A. (Cirro Gojug Sogi Wirro Kaunde Jirugi)

7. Move the rigfht foot toward the left forming a left vertical stance tward A while executing a right downward knifehand strike to A. (Cirro Soojik Sogi Wirro Naeryo Sonkal Taerigi)

8. Move the left foot to A forming a left walking stance to A while executing a left middle punch to A. (Cirro Gunun Sogi Cirro Kaunde Jirugi)

9. Move the left foot to D turning counter-clockwise forming a left walking stance while executing a left low outer forearm block to D. ( Cirro Gunun Sogi Cirro Najunde Bakat Palmok Makgi)

10. Step forward forming a right walking stance to D while executing a right middle punch to D. (Wirro Gunun Sogi Wirro Kaunde Jirugi)

11. Pull the left foot toward the right foot while bringing the left palm to the right fore fist, at the same time bending the right elbow about 45 degrees outward. (

12. Execute a middle side piercing kick to D with the right foot while pulling both hands in the opposite direction and then lower the right foot to D forming a left L-stance and executing a right middle knifehand strike to D. 13. Step forward forming a left walking stance to D while executing a left middle punch to D. (Cirro Gunun Sogi Cirro Kaunde Jirugi)

14. Step forward forminga right walking stance to D while executing a right middle punch to D. (Wirro Gunun Sogi Wirro Kaunde Jirugi)

15. Move the left foot to E turning counter-clockwise to form a right L-stance toward E while executing a middle knifehand guarding block to E.  (Wirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

16. Step forward to E forming a right walking stance while executing a right middle straight fingertip thrust to E. (Wirro Gunun Sogi Wirro Kaunde Sun Sonkut Tulgi)

17. Spot turn by moving the right foot on line EF and turn counter-clockwise forming a right L-stance toward F while executing a middle knifehand guarding block to F. (Wirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

18. Execute a high turning kick to DF with the right foot and lower it to F. (Wirro Nopunde Dollyo Chagi)

19. Execute a high turning kick to DB with the left foot and lower it to F forming a right L-stance and executing a middle knifehand guarding block to F. Perform #18 and @19 in combination. (Cirro Nopunde Dollyo Chagi Wirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

20. Move the left foot to C forming a left walking stance toward C while executing a low outer forearm block to C. ( Cirro Gunun Sogi Njunde Bakat Palmok Makgi)

21. Move the left foot 1/2 way back to the right one and then slide it to C forming a right L-stnace to C while executing a right obverse punch on line DB. ( Wirro Niunja Sogi Wirro So Baro Jirugi)

22. Step forwar to C forming a left L-stance while executing a left obverse punch on line DA. (Cirro Niunja Sogi  Cirro So Baro Jirugi)

23. Step forward to C forming a right L-stance while executing a right obverse punch on line DB. (Wirro Niunja Sogi Wirro so Baro Jirugi)

24. Move the left foot 1/2 way back to the right one and then slide it to C forming a left walking stance while executing a low X-fist pressing block to C. (Cirro Gunun Sogi Kyocha Joomok Miro Makgi)

25. Move the right foot to C in a sliding motion, turning counter-clockwise, forming a right L-stance twoard D while executing a right side elbow thrust toward  C. (Wirro Niunja Sogi Wirro Yop Palkup Tulgi)

26. Bring the left foot to the right foot, turning counter-clockwise to form a closed stance toward B while executing a right high inner forearm front block while extending the left forearm to the side and downward. (Moa Sogi Wirro Nopunde An Palmok Makgi)

27. While maintaining the same stance, execute a left high inner forearm front block while extending the right forearm to the side and downward. (Cirro Nopunde An Palamok Makgi )

28. Move the left foot to B forming a right L-stance toward B while executing a middle knifehand guarding block. (Wirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

29. Move the left foot to the right foot and then move the firght foot to A forming a left L-stance toward A while executing a middle knifehand guarding block to A. (Cirro Niunja Sogi Kaunde Sonkal Daebi Makgi)

END: Return to closed ready stance C by movign the right foot in.
